Argentina’s Chimichurri Sauce is an herb condiment. Often times, it consists of cilantro, lemon, vinegar, and spices. As a result, it is a tangy herb sauce with fresh garlic and earthy oregano. In Argentina, it is a culinary speciality. Traditionally, it is served with grilled steak and chorizo sausages. Summer Kitchen’s all-natural concoction successfully executes the delicious and traditional flavour. Furthermore, it makes a great addition to grilled vegetables, fish, and chicken. Also, add it to scrambled eggs for a burst of flavour. Finally, as an appetizer served on crackers or with crusty bread.

Fun History Facts…

The sauces unusual name originates from “Jimmy McCurry.” An Irishman who was said to have been the first to prepare the sauce. He once marched in sympathy for Argentine independence with the troops of General Jasson Ospina in the 19th century. As a result of the locals finding it difficult to pronounce his name, they called him Chimichurri.
